Nothing Really New
So we have now had 4 people and 3 ultrasounds confirm that we are in fact having a boy! Time seems to be going slowly for me but others have said me being almost 6 months pregnant seems to have flown by. Isn't that how it always is though? When you are in the middle of it, it goes really slow but others on the outside see it going fast. I am going to finish out the school year and then we will have to see. I have to keep working unfortunately and I haven't really found anything decent to do from home. I will probably have to keep working 2 days next year to make ends meet. But good news is that Scott is back to school now and has already completed one of his classes. He takes the test on Saturday February 4th and then he will be certified in web design stuff. Then he can move on to his next class which is a reason and logic class he says seems stupid. He will have been with Core Labs for 6 months on February 15th and we are very excited about that. He will be getting a small raise in April and will have vacation time to add to his sick time. His boss Ray assured him that he will have plenty of time to take off when the baby comes. That is not till June so he will keep accumulating it so he has at least a week to stay home with me. He is so good like that! We are counting down the days!

Ultrasounds and Registrys
Well it has been a month or so since I wrote last but I was waiting to let everyone know the good news. We went for an unofficial ultrasound and found out that we are having a boy! We are very excited now and are feeling very overwhelmed. There is so much to get done before he comes and so many things to buy. With him being our first baby we have absolutely nothing except a crib. The only reason we have a crib is because it is the one my grandfather built for me when I was a baby. My dad saved it all these years and I am glad to have it. We actually went and registered at Babies R US and Target today so we have lots of things to look forward to hopefully receiving. Any gifts we get will be so welcomed. There is so much to do before our baby boy arrives in June. I am very nervous but I am going to be doing a lot of praying as well. Any love and support is greatly appreciated!

Babies and Christmas
Well it has been a while since I have posted but we were waiting to announce our news. Most everyone knows already but Scott and I are expecting our first baby. It has been a rocky first trimester for me but I am almost out of it! Yea! I am 12 weeks a long now and almost into what most people tell me will be a much better time. I have been trying to enjoy being pregnant and not focusing on the bad stuff. Many people cannot have children and I am blessed to be able to have them. So I am trying to remember that the exhaustion and occasional morning sickness means there is still a baby in there! We will of course keep everyone updated on the pregnancy. I am due on June 11, 2012 but like all the women before me...good luck haivng it on the right day! All babies born in this family on both sides are late ones!
As we enter this holiday season I am so incredibly grateful for the things I have been given. I love the Christmas holidays and that includes the events and time leading up to it. I actually love the month of December more than the actual day and I try to do lots of Christmasy things like baking cookies and going shopping all through December. I hope this Christmas season finds everyone happy and blessed! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

New jobs!
So it has been a SUPER long time since I have updated our blog but here it is. We have had a tremendously busy summer. I had resigned from my school district job to start working at a home school. I spent most of my summer getting lesson plans ready for that but it was so worth it. I have been there for two weeks now and I am loving every second of it. I actually had my Geography class the other day (those are 13 and 14 year olds) say thank you for the lesson that day. Wow! They are really great kids. Of course there is the occasional bad moment but I am entirely happy at this new job!
Scott also got a new job and the blessing is wonderful! I can't seem to thank God enough for it. It came at a great time because Scott had a friend tell him that Academy is starting to cut everyone's hours now and he would be working only 30 hours a week. He is working for Core Lab which is the same company my dad works for. He is in the IT department with 5 other guys. He loves it. He gets a laptop and an IPhone4 which is really nice for him. He has a cubicle he can decorate and will be his own personal space. We are really so incredibly blessed to have this job. I thank God every day for this opportunity. Scott is really so talented and he is finally using the talents and skills that he has developed.
Life is going really well. We are trying to have a baby so prayers will be a wonderful help! I promise to keep this updated more frequently now!

End of School!
I am so ready for the end of the school year I can hardly stand it. I love teenagers around this time of year. They are so pleasant! (hint of sarcasm there by the way) Memorial day is around the corner and Scott and I have plans with Billy, Rene and the girls. We are really excited to barbeque and stuff with them. I had a meeting with the lady that runs the new school that I will be working at and I am really excited to get started. I am teaching a few new classes and so I will be working on lesson plans for next year during the summer. But I have lots of time. This summer is going to be a busy one. I have a huge list of things to get done and I am so glad to have the time to do it.
Scott has been talking alot more about the IT positions at Academy and it is looking really promising for him to transfer departments. It would be a better fit for him to work in that department. It uses his skills better and I think he would feel more accomplished if he was doing something he wanted to do. He keeps plugging away and I am really grateful that he does what he needs to do to support our family even though right now it is just the two of us!

Easter
So we had a great 1st Easter this year. I am very much about the traditional cheesy stuff so I put together Easter baskets complete with candy the night before. I realize we don't have kids but it is still fun to do that kind of stuff. Sunday morning we watched the Testaments which for those of you not LDS is a story about the Nephites here in America waiting for Jesus to come and visit them. So it flashes back to Jerusalem where he is ministering. Then it goes through the crucifixion. The night before we watched Voyage of the Dawn Treader which is the latest installment of Chronicles of Narnia. So much symbolism in that movie and the two of them made me think about how glad I am for the Savior's sacrifice. He didn't have to do it but he chose to atone for us. It was a CHOICE. He could have stopped it at any time but HE loves us so much that he went through with the pain. So this Easter season as I have been pondering my life that is what I am the most grateful for. I am so not perfect and I need the atonement every day.

Married Life
So I have figured out that I am not very good at updating my blog very well but I am trying. So far March was good to us. For part of Spring Break we house/babysat some friends kids and it was pretty fun. We had 3 kids for about 5 days and it really made me appreciate what stay at home mom's do. Time is not your own when you have three kids at home all the time.
Both of us have just been working and making ends meet. I FINALLY got my personal injury payout from my accident last AUGUST and so we treated ourselves to some stuff and socked the rest of it away. We have a lot of ambitious plans this year that will take money.
I did officially resign from my job and my principal was really supportive of my decision. I am excited to start a new job and a new phase of less stress! We will be doing really well.
I will try to update with more pictures of fun stuff. We need to take more pictures and do more fun stuff I guess!
